Colors of The Wind

Colors of The Wind

And yes, I was referencing the Pocahontas Song, lol.

One of many favorite Disney Movies that I watch with my family!

I figured this would be a good title for this post.

I know you know me with promoting Javita, and I still do, since day one, but I wanted to share with you my other passion.

A newly discovered passion that I had no idea was going to end up like what it is today.

If you follow me, you should already know.

If you don’t, can you guess what else I do with most of my time?

Ready!?

I run an Ebay business that I love.

User YUNEDINC

Look it up on Ebay, lol.

Doing what you might ask?

Creating Custom Vinyl Decals.

Most people call them stickers.

I guess it is a matter of preference.

I never thought I would be doing so well with this, but I am!

And I am getting better everyday!

I have to give credit to my Bro Andy for showing me the basics to get started.

I had no idea that it was going to turn into something I love doing so much.

It all started when Bro got a house in Nevada.

He was moving from California where he grew up and lived most of his young adult life.

He found a job in Nevada and had to leave his current job in California as a Graphic Designer creating signs and banners for the company.

At the time I was still looking for a job but with no luck.

I have been out of a job for more than six months which seems like forever.

It’s a long story and I will save that for another post.

Just know that I had my reasons.

Just like the saying, “the grass is always greener on the other side.”

Well Andy let me know he was leaving and his company is looking for another replacement.

I was reluctant to say yes since it was not the kind of work I was looking for at the time and it was a bit far to commute.

31-32 miles is no joke when it comes to LA traffic.

Going to work is not that bad.

Takes about 30-35 minutes to get to work.

Going home is another story, lol.

Takes about 1 hour or so to get home.

Sometimes it takes up to 2 hours.

Again depending on traffic and accidents which is pretty much everyday.

I told him that it might not suit me well especially when I know nothing about being a Graphic Designer.

He told me not to worry and said he will teach me everything I need to know before he leaves.

I took him up on the offer and told him I would give it a shot since I had been out of work for quite a while now.

After two weeks of training, I got the hang of it.

As the days went on I found myself actually liking what I do.

Then it manifested to loving what I do.

So much so that I started thinking about doing this kind of work at home.

I am familiar with selling on ebay since April 2005.

But it was kind of like a past time / hobby.

It was nothing serious.

I only sold stuff I had no use for and mostly bought things at a good price.

Then I started thinking to myself, what if I created custom decals for others?

That’s when everything changed.

I started setting up and area in my bedroom to test the waters and see how it goes.

I first started creating little things for myself and others.

I got a small machine that came with software as you would expect.

I had a place to get the materials I needed and then just went with it.

After about a month or so of setting up and testing out the settings on the machine and the software, I was ready to go live on ebay.

Let’s see where this goes.

I started off with one listing doing custom lettering.

I did not make much but it was a start and I wanted to get feel of actually running an ebay business online.

There were a lot of things I learned on the way and I did a lot of research on how to grow my ebay business.

From how to create an attractive listing using keywords to how to create captivating photos and descriptions.

Youtube helped my a lot as well as the ebay sellers community.

You learn so much from successful ebay sellers.

You just need to ask questions and emulate what they are doing.

Not everything works as planned but that is the fun part about running your own ebay business.

You test the waters and see what works.

If it does not work, try something else.

If it does work, don’t change it.

Eventually I found what works for me and then it took off!

I started creating more things and found what people are really looking for.

People would start contacting me via ebay messages about doing some Custom Vinyl Sticker Decal work.

If I noticed that the requests were similar and often enough, I would create something for those needs.

Love the whole creative aspect of it.

And the fact that it would solve a problem for someone in the world or put a smile on someone’s face!

I found something that I love to do and now I can share my talents with others and help them solve a problem.

Putting a smile on someone’s face is the whole reason for doing this.

It’s not about the money for me.

The money is a bonus.

But actually making a positive difference in someone’s life using my talents and gifts is what actually gets me up in the morning!

I love what I do and I love making people happy!

We need more love and happiness and I am glad GOD gave me this gift to help spread the joy!

No matter where you are in your life, send some positive vibes to everyone you meet because you don’t know what they could be going through.

Give them a Smile, a Hi or Hello, a Handshake, a Hug!

If feels good to give wholeheartedly.

Tell someone you care about them or that they are amazing.

Instead of putting someone down, how about picking someone up and encouraging them.

One person can’t change the world but together we can.

Spread the LOVE and let’s stop the HATE.

Let’s help each other instead of creating conflict.

There are so many colors in our world so enjoy every moment, breathe deeply and smile.

Every one of you has a unique gift to share.

We are not all the same.

Find that gift and use it.

If you don’t love what you do, then what is the point!?

Be someones blessing.

Remember,

“Smile Often, Be Kind and LOVE Always!”

Your boy Eddie G is out!

See you on the next post!
